An integrated location-inventory model for a spare part’s supply chain considering facility disruption risk and CO2 emission

Purpose: Managing the inventory of spare parts is very difficult because stochastic nature part’s demand. Also, only controlling part not enough; instead, supply chain needs to be managed efficiently. Moreover, every organization now aims have a resilient and sustainable overcome risk facility disruption ensure environmental sustainability. This paper thus establish model inventory-location relating network parts.Design/methodology/approach: First, applying queuing theory, location-inventory for facing has restriction CO2 emission, developed. The later formulated as non-linear mixed-integer programming problem solved using MATLAB.Findings: gives optimal decisions about location warehouse policy management each selected. sensitivity analysis shows that low probability does influence average emission level. However, level certainly decreases with increment when significant.Practical implications: Using this model, based on cost parameters likelihood disruption, manufacturer can optimize total through making trade-off between productions, selection, warehousing demand allocation.Originality/value: Previous research focuses developing framework designing an efficient planning control system. addressed in sense facilities disturbance emission. first time jointly considered probabilistic carbon modeling network.
